Practical advice.  Knowledgeable counsel.

We approach every case knowing that it can be solved, and quickly solved.  Many attorneys ignore the most obvious solutions to legal problems.  Sometimes, all it takes is a phone call.  Our attorneys take a practical approach to litigation.  In our 50 years in practice, we have developed a reputation for:

  • Tenacity - During our first meeting, we develop a game plan.  Our attorneys and staff then work to reach the goal line—as quickly, efficiently, inexpensively and skillfully as possible.  Our firm is known for rapid response and a hands-on approach to cases.

  • Success - Our practical approach has proven results.  We look for the obvious solution, even if it means calling the other party to discuss their grievances.  It is this approach that has kept clients coming back to our firm.

  • Knowledgeable counsel - Our firm has been in practice for over 50 years because we stay ahead of the curve.  Continuing education is valued at our firm.  We often attend seminars related to leading topics in the law.

Christian S. Homsi, J.D.

Family, immigration, civil litigation and constitutional lawyer

Associate

Christian S. Homsi grew up in Germany and came to the United States in 1997, after he finished his law studies and passed the First State Examination.  In the spring of that year, Attorney Homsi worked at Haufler Associates as a legal intern, gaining significant family law experience by observing and assisting Attorney Haufler for almost two months.  This internship woke the desire in Attorney Homsi to study American law.  He entered Suffolk University Law School in 1998 and graduated cum laude in 2001 in the top 10% of his class.  While in law school, Attorney Homsi was continuously on the Dean's List from 1999 to 2001.  He won the Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Criminal Law for the best criminal law exam in his section of 95 law students.  Attorney Homsi became a staff member on the Suffolk Transnational Law Review in 1999.  He was awarded the prestigious Staff Member of the Year award in 2000 and finally served as the law review's Executive Editor until his graduation in 2001.  That position entrusted him with supervising a large student staff, editing numerous articles before their publication and managing a $50,000 budget.

In 2002, Attorney Homsi opened a law office in downtown Boston, practicing primarily in the areas of civil litigation, consumer protection and personal injury and immigration law.  After more than three years as a sole practitioner, Attorney Homsi returned to Haufler Associates in the spring of 2006.  He practices in the areas of domestic relations law, civil litigation, family-based immigration and constitutional law.  Attorney Homsi is fluent in spoken and written German and is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Florida and the District of Columbia.  His court admissions include the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.  Attorney Homsi is a member of the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
